Can anyone suggest something for no more than $20k that I can use to save wear and tear on the 545? Just got a new job that's a 136 mile round trip (all highway). You know my dilemma - power junkie/addicted to BMW.

Have to agree, for daily wear and tear and solid reliability, the Honda is a great choice. Won't be turning any heads, but you'll get there, day after day...

Acura RSX. Make sure you use a buying service - should stretch your budget by $2K or so on a new car.

I agree with the Mini. As much fun, if not more than your 545.

Plus it's in the family.

German cars are great daily drivers. Your car is going to depreciate just sitting in the driveway. Why not drive it everyday.

Move closer to your job!!!!

Use the cash for the down payment for another home and rent out your existing place.

If you rent now, then it would be just as easy to find another place closer to your work.
