The thing about hollywood's last comment is there is some truth to it. I've been to his neighborhood, when you come out it's a straight away for at least 1/4 mile. Posted speed limit is 45, but he knows the popo's schedule. That is the same road where he had his first dance with the Lexus IS350. He forgot he won by the way...

For you, use brake torquing. It is equivalent to launch control. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

Hummm this reminds me of one of my encounters... I should have Znod add it to my kill list. I almost had to use Launch Assist to beat him.
Just the other day i had a bicyclist come up next to me wearing this crazy helmet with flames on it. i think he had a 21 speed due to the gearing on his pedals. he started giving me the stare-down and rang his bike bell to signal a race. when i ignored him he started to pedal with his front brake on. his back wheel started smoking and it really got my blood boiling... but in the end i resisted the urge to race him. next time he may not be so lucky though. i swear some people are just crazy.

LOL Ok ultimate question then? What do you think causes more stress/wear on the components between using LC and BT in a SMG/Steptronic gearbox. Cars submited to the same treatment, wich one would give away first? The clutch in the smg, or the torque converter in the steptronic? Anyone willing to bet? ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
PS: I want my next bmw to be SMG for SURE!!! And btw Launch Control sounds way better than Brake Torque doesn't it?
