Default Help me identify this part

Hey folks, I'm currently deployed and need your help. Quick back ground. Hpfp went out, took it to dealer who fixed it but broke a hose clamp. Wife drove it for a week or two before figuring it out. Took it back and now they left this out once my wife got the car back. I have no idea what it is. It looks like my wife can put it back, she's very capable, but I want to know what it is. Your help is appreciated.

It's an emergency release for automatic transmission gear selector.
