Hi,

First post here, looking to purchase an E60 550i 2007 205000k kms (128k miles).

Brought the car to an indy for a pre-purchase inspection and found this hose plugged with a bolt. Can someone help me find what it is? It's near the harness between the driver's side strut tower and front driver fender.

Results of the inspection shows the valve cover gaskets leaking. The rest of the car is solid.

I know about the valve cover and timing gasket issues, alternator bracket gasket and coolant tube. I did look for smoke after a long idling for the valve stem seals but no smoke at all.

Hopefully I can get the price down to offset the cost of repairing the VC gaskets and be the proud owner of this 550i.
