This leak has been going for some time now but just recently really noticed it. There are two points where i think the oil might be coming from. I still have not cleaned the entire area with degreaser to pin point it more by watching it.
Help me identify some of these parts as well. I am clueless at what i could be looking at.
This is area one it could be leaking from. Seems there is a O ring or rubber backing to the bolt that has just been softened up and erroding away.
This is point two where it could be leaking from. I tried pointing it out better with my finger but this point seems to be some sort of clip for electrical? Oil level sensor?
This is another thing i noticed when under the car. This rubber bushing is cracked. Dont notice anything different when driving the car but i dont want this to give way causing more damage when it goes. Any one can tell me what part this is too?

I will check in that general area when I go under the car again. I still want to clean the area and see of I can find a better source.

The damaged bush looks like the anti-roll bar bush. Not too critical, it may cause a creaking noise and very slightly affect the handling when cornering. Fairly easy to replace.

Is the leak from the left or right side of the engine?....if the right it maybe the ATF fluid as this is a common fault on bmws.

Passenger side. At this point I want to replace that rubber washer on the back of the bolt. I'm thinking it's from there but I want to figure out what that bolt is to first.
