Two foot scratch to the metal on the front passenger door and one foot scrath to the metal in the quarter panel in front of that. The car is black. I live in the midwest (USA). Any ideas how much the repair will run. I assume it can be repainted. TIA.

Jack Jones: sorry to hear about this happen to a fellow midwesterner. Can you specify where this happened, so that the rest of us can avoid the place??

Also, please update your signature with your ride details (and other fun stuff)

If it's not too deep to prime coat, you can touch up with touch-up paint and rebuffer it with circular air/electric buffer.

Don't forget that the hood and front fenders are aluminum so be prepaired to pay a lot more for those areas.

I am very sorry. It seems to happen to many makes of up-scale cars. Chin up. Try to make lemonade.

Sorry to hear that. Some pictures will help to show us your pain and the cost for repair.

Thanks for the replys.

I'm in St. Louis but besides that I'm not sure where it happened.

I don't have a camera so I can't show the damage. It isn't nearly as bad as Eddie's.

I forgot about the front QP being aluminum. At this point I've resolved myself to writing a hefty check at the end of the lease next year.
