thank you guys sooooooo much~

I will just go back to dealer....since I dont wanna get killed by my mom....

also...my car almost reaches 10000 miles!

so I guess it is time to go back too!

by the way...what will happen if I keep driving.......
Do you have a 2004,2005, or 2006. The '04 and '05s have dipsticks, and you can check the oil when the car is cold and on a level surface. If the car is only a quart low, then you are probably safe. But, you should always have a spare quart of oil for such events. If you have a '06 the car does not have a dipstick, so you should just add a quart of oil.

A quart of the BMW synthetic oil costs about $4.40 retail at your dealer's parts dept.

If you continue to drive without sufficient oil in any car, then you run the risk of seizing up the engine.

Good Luck and learn how to check the oil and add it when necessary.

Joe

guys,
Leave him alone. It is not unreasonable to think that the oil being low could be caused by a serious problem. My last car never burned oil in 60K miles so it would suprise me also that a new car needed oil.
