I tried the electric tape. It worked!!! Thanks! Only problem is I need a high adhesive one that will stay on... No. I haven't called the dealer for the Teflon tape. Every time I have called for anything they seem to "forget" I'm on the phone because they are so "busy".

You can use 1080 matte vinyl tape by 3m or as other suggested electrical tape, however,I find it only as a temporary solution as it will tend to shift around after a few months.

A simple DIY.
You can purchase the vinyl on Ebay for ~15 1ft x 5 ft and cut them into 4 : 3/4 inch strips. if you can find 7 ft vinyl you would only need 2 cuts of 3/4 inch. Apply them around the door seals. you will need a heat gun to help the vinyl adhere to the curve around the rear quarter panel. Hopefully, that will do it! It did for me. good luck.

I just used black electric tape with a very strong adhesive on it so it won't come off as this part of the door has constant contact with water when you wash the car or if it rains...in the interim, tape all of the felt strip part on the top side of the door...should cure the noise. Then later on, get a proper clear teflon tape and tape the actual car body frame where the top part of the door (felt strip)meets. If you tape the felt strip on the top part of the door, it'll eventually come off due to contact with water..

Door seals won't be making that loud annoying noise..so no need but lubricate them anyway with silicon based car lube/grease.
I've been using vaseline for over a decade and never had a problem on any BMW's. This is a big debate. vaseline drying out? hmm i dont think so. Deteriorating? This was solved in the 70's or 80's.
If using a silicone spray be aware that it may stain some black plastic trim pieces with a white residue that you wont get off unless you sand off.

A car held together by tape? It won't be in my garage.

are you treating all four door seals?
the one that is mounted on the car and goes all around the opening,
the other that is mounted all around the door,
the hard felt covered seal along the top door edge,
and the short piece between the two door glasses?

i just spray armor all on a rag and wipe onto the rubber seals, and dont have any squeeks.
