DAB aerial query
Evening all,
I have just fitted a Dension 500S BT - all is working fine with it.
I also have the DAB adapter to go with it, which I have not fitted yet as I am wondering what DAB aerial to fit to it.
I was thinking of fitting a rooftop aerial as these seem to get best signal, but it would mean having to drill a hole in the roof of the car - probably where they are normally fitted on most cars, about 3-4 inches centrally at the front of the roof. Has this been done before on an E60 LCi ?
Alternatively, I was thinking of getting a box which would split the existing signal from the sharkfin aerial into both a AM/FM, along with a DAB signal, the AM/FM output going to the M-ASK headunit, and the DAB output going into the Dension DAB box. Has this been done before ?
Or... is a simple windscreen type DAB aerial good enough for most DAB reception areas ?
