While driving today I tried down shifting before coming to a light and stepped on the clutch to gear down. The clutch was pinned to the floor and wouldn't come back up. I had to pick the clutch up off the floor with my hand. I cut the car off then tried turning it back on. The clutch is rock hard and will move but the car won't start. Everything else works, all lights work. I-drive says everything is fine and working. Any ideas??? similar experiences?? advice?? I've only had the car for a month and a half.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Sounds like you have an issue with either your clutch master cylinder or secondary cylinder. I don't know if the e60 has a clutch fluid reservoir that you can check (never looked and couldn't find in the 05 manual) so maybe another member could chime in?
Any fluid on the carpet or on the floor where you park your car?

Definitely take it to the dealer but my money is on one of the clutch cylinders.

Gotta agree with Michael here, but since you just bought it (is it CPO?) you should take it back immediately. Before they try to screw you. If it isn't CPO you will probably have a tough time and a big bill anyway, sorry Bro.

Also check the linkage from the pedal to the cylinder. Not activating the switch (item 16) is probably why it wont start.
GL with the repairs!
