In the end I had to take mine to the dealer and they monitored it overnight to find the cause (video display unit kept turning itself on and 'waking' the car up)

Cheers

Just looking at your signature, I'm guessing that is the root cause of the issue somewhere.

If it's the original battery, chances are it needs replacement. Check your spare tire wheel well in the trunk for moisture accumulations on the Micro Power Module (MPM), which sits in a cradle within the well. Fluid damage to this unit will cause the car to stay in an "always on" state, and will deplete your battery. Good luck - keep us posted on what the cause was!

There will be a long week end , so i am asking an Electricien to come over to my place and try to disconnect some of the electronics in the car to see what is the problem.

I believe everyone has mentioned just about everything we can think of. So, good luck. I hope the guy can help you find the cause of the problem.
