My Ride: 530i 2007, Adaptive Headlights (Xenon), Auto AC Extended, Logic7, Bluetooth, PDC
Default

Driving my new 530 kind of reminds me the early days of my PS2/GameCube/Xbox. You know, finishing all the day-to-day tasks quickly, saying good night to the kids, kiss-kiss the wife and 3D realms HERE I COME! Suddenly I find myself yearning for those out-of-town meetings. During weekends trips there's always a good reason why my wife must take the kids in our LR3 fully loaded with DVD-LCD-CD and many other gadgets that surprisingly include the letter D in their names.. while I just follow and meet them on the way. You know: "I must drive behind you so that to make sure your breaks lights are working fine, dear". Will this last forever? I've had some nice cars in my life, so far, but there's something about this car that keeps that silly smile smudged on you face.. HELP!

i am sorry to say that i dont think there is a solution...
this is my first BMW, and i have to admit i have become a little obssesed with it...i have never treated any car like this, nor anything i own in this way...
its usaully like this for a month after buying a new item.then slowly the feeling goes away....but im scared to say that the feeling is growing day by day...not sure when it will stop...perhaps it will be when i have finished any mods i have in mind and know everything there is to know about the car...but im not sure that day will ever come...and it certinally wont be soon...

I am sorry to inform you that there's nothing we can do at the moment.

But you can try a dose of the forum every 4 hours 3 times a day, it will treat your symtoms which makes you feel better in between the drive

I NEVER washed a car by hand (or as often) - before I got this one.

I always think that the real test of a car is if you look back at it as you walk away from your parking spot.

(and if you end up smiling when you see it on the way back)

With my current car I usually look two or three times and my big fat sportscar wheels make me happy in a really juvenile way.

All this before you drive it

The e60 is a bizarre mix of grown up refined cruising and absolute hooligan cornering.

I just can't resist going round bends and roundabout's a little bit faster than necessary just to feel the back end bed down and begin to reach the limit of adhesion.

All this in a diesel - I'm getting carried away and need to go for a drive now.

I couldn't even resist flooring it from a toll booth at the weekend with my wife and kids in the car - fortunately, they loved it
