Guys,
I just mounted an 18" staggered set of Beyern mesh on my '08 535xi. I mounted 18x8.5" ET40 in the front and 18x9.5" ET45 in the rear. Tires are 245/40R18 in front and 275/35R18 in the rear. Pretty standard stuff, and the correct size/offset for an XI..
However, the wheels and tires stick out beyond the wheel wells all the way around. Is this normal? Again, everyone including Tire Rack said that these offsets are exactly correct. Before they were mounted I thought I might need spacers..lol...no way!
Is this correct or are the offsets incorrect?
I've seen other 535xi's with staggered setup, Beyern mesh in these sizes, and none have looked like mine. Am I crazy?? Please advise!
Thanks,
Bradd

I like a flush look myself but I'm sure some will say that it looks aggressive. Maybe someone can answer my question while we are on the 535xi wheel topic. In 19 inch rims, what is the widest that will fit on a 535xi rear and front.. And can deep dish wheel go on an xi E60? I would like his setup but in a 19 inch rim. I guess if 18's fit 19's must too. Can you put a 10' wide rim on the back of an xi? What's the correct offsets?

Have you verify they are actually ET40/45? Take them off and get some pics of the back/inside of the wheels where they usually printed the number/spec and post them up.
I bet the offsets are wrong, not to doubt you or anything. To me at least the front seems to be on ET20-25 offset.
