What great fun!!
When you get back to Munich, make sure you try the AUGUSTINER BRAU, it is always voted the favorite by Muncheners. I have to agree!
The other locals are darn good, but the AugusteinerBrau is the BMW of Munich brewers!![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

Lucky you CVTBenhogan!
The 530i is the most common gas engine in Europe, I'm sure you understand that
seeing the EU gas prices.
In EU the diesels are really popular for the same reason.
Have fun!
PS. Summertires can be put on in April in northern Germany.

Thanks for the update, CVT. Your post takes me back to my December ED when I first drove my 550.
The German autobahns are the finest roads I have ever driven on even without the unresticted speed limits. I touched 100 mph the first day (250 miles driven). The second day touched 120 (350 more miles driven). The third day was 130 mph (another 300 miles driven). Day four touched 150 mph -- I was in heaven. Now that I drive the car (Angie) in the states, the respect and admiration for the 550 just growing and growing. Savor the moments. The wait for the overseas journey your car will take will test your patience but life will be even better -- you'll see. Spending all that money is the BEST decision I have ever made.
