iDrive issues and issues and issues and did I mention issues? I will break this down
1) 2 months after purchase the Airbag light came on.
a) fixed by dealer
2) 1 week later the engine light came on "Increased Emissions"
a) Turned off by dealer
3) 1 day later the engine light came on same fault
a) turned off again by dealer
4) 3 days later engine light came back on same fault
a) once again turned off by dealer (notice sqealing noise when I brake)
5) 1month later engine light comes on same fault and iDrive freezes up
a) dealer keeps the car for a week and completly replaced the iDrive and "fixes" the sqealing brakes.
6) BMW Assist, RDS, Phone options are all GONE and the CD player cuts out every 3 mins or so, and brakes are still sqealing.
a) dealer does software upgrade and tell me that I cannot have BMW Assist because this is a US spec car B.S. because I had it before, and they once again "fix" the brakes.
7) As I am driving away from the dealer the cd starts cutting out about every 30 seconds or so now and the brakes still squeal.
Today is trip number 8 to the dealership with iDrive problems, the dealer called me and tell me that my front brake pads need replacing because they are "faulty" and I must pay for them because pads are not covered under warranty. 150 euro for 2 sets of pads. I drive at and average of 130mph on the Autobahn, now I have been doing this on faulty brake pads....for 6 months....hmmmm. This is why I am invoking the Lemon Law or at least trying to. 50k+ cars should not have these headaches. Anyone else with similar problems or do I really have a Lemon?
