Unhappy

I just noticed a 08 loaner BMW 528i with 2000 miles has lighter steering especially at low speeds than my 2 year old off-lease 2007 BMW 530i with 37k miles. My car's steering is not that stiff to be a major effort to turn, but it is noticeably heavier than the 528i. It makes my car feel heavier and more an effort to drive than the loaner. Is this normal, and can a power steering flush make the steering as light as the 528i?

Thanks...

If it's under warranty, tell the dealer to check it out!

Does the loaner have Active Steering? Does yours?

The loaner has sports package so it has active steering. Mine does not but since it is 07, servotronic is standard.

I don't pretend an expert but that might be the answer to the stiff steering. Mrs. sixcard has an 06 E60 and her steering will wear you out compared to my 5er sport.

Perhaps others will chime in.

Do you mean you had a fault and after they fixed it the steering became lighter? What year and model is your car?
