Sorry for the dumb question, but I just picked up a 2008 535xi with the cold weather package. Can anybody tell me if that package includes heated exterior mirrors?

Mine does not have the cold weather package, and I still have heated exterior mirrors.

Basic information about your pre-owned automobile is available in the owner's manual. If you purchased the vehicle from a BMW Dealer your sales representative should have taken a few minutes familiarizing you with the proper operation of the car and it's features.
