Headlights - can someone help please

Can someone please clarify to whether or not when you turn on your headlights, the lights dip and then come back up level, as I am looking to replace my lights from my E61 to Xenon, and not sure whether this is due to the E61 having self levelling suspension, or just a 'Five series' thing.

Don't worry ,it is something the five and other ones do . go with your conversion will notice big difference.

Cool, thanks for the reply.
Just didn't want to get a set of lights that was for the E60 and then relise they are no good.
Thought they would be the same, but always best to check.
I have put in a HID conversion already into my halogens, but really want the proper lights.
Also, does anyone know if my HID kit will fit into the Xenons, as a few of them are advertised without bulbs and ballast?

To be clear, I don't think it's a "five series thing", I think it's a Xenon thing. In other words, on a 5 series without Xenons, I don't think the headlights auto-level.
As mentioned already, I don't think it's a function of the E61 in any way...

Its not a 'Xenon' thing, as I have a E61 with halogen lights and they self level - I just thought it was to do with the self levelling suspension that the E61's have as standard as opposed the normal suspension in the E60's....

Are you sure it's not just the car self-leveling? Again, I'm not 100% sure but I didn't think the halogens did any self-leveling so maybe what you're seeing is the car's suspension leveling as you thought?

Then you may be on to something...I didn't think the halogens self-adjusted...
But as long as the E60's do the headlight dance, then that is all I need to know on that part.
Just need to know if my HID's will fit if I get a set without bulbs/ballast......
