Hey guys,
Check these out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=36476. Do you think they are the real right ones? I might buy them to experiment on. To see if i can remove the yellow part. I tried to on mine but gave up for fear of hgaving to buy a 1500 head light. MAybe i could buy the cheaoer one and go from there.

I always wonder why somebody is selling such items. I cannot imagine him driving around without headlights in his E60. Or maybe they came out of a crashed car but are these light still trustworthy then.

20 hrs left and the bid is at 450. IMO, I would save the 500 dollars and put it toward better use. I've cleared out many headlights on Hondas and Acuras in my past ownership days. So I'm fairly comfortable with the process - heating up the silicone, removing the yellow reflector and putting it back without condensation leakage.
I took one look at the e60 headlights and with the shape and the bends, its just asking for trouble. Not to doubt your skills, but I've done this to over 20 headlight assemblies and it just looks if I tried it on a set of our headlights, these are very different from the flat designs on other cars. I'd put the 500 toward some nice new shoes. =) But best of luck to you if you decide to pioneer it!
