Has anyone had headlight specks they've had removed? If so, provide some feedback, please. Thanks.

Yea, I just noticed this on mine also. Hard to believe this happens to a car w/ less than 7k miles. My benz had 55k miles and not a single speck on the headlights. What gives?

What do you mean by specks?? i.e. chips from rocks or something inside the headlight housing?

Yes, and basic debri. I want to buff mine out but I'm scared it will damage the plastic on the outside. Cute dog.

Don't ever buff the headlight cover. It'll make the matter worse. I've done that before and it's not as good as original.

I know its too late but a clear-bra really helps prevent this.

What effect will RainX have on the headlights? Anyone tested?

I really wish I was aware of that product before I picked my car up. I would have put in on the first day!

Ruf,

I think you probably notice the damage more on the E60 because the covers are clear and the black plastic housing underneath really makes blemishes stand out. I had a lot of marks on my E60 headlight covers. I also had a load on an X5 but I had the whole front end resprayed on that car to get get rid of stone chips and the shop I took it to polished out the headlight covers for me as well. They looked as good as new afterwards. It might be worth taking it to a local bodywork repair shop and ask them for their advice.

Put some on mine yesterday after it's first serious wax and polish!

Will let you know the results....
