Headlight problems (New owner of E60 with retrofitted LCI lights)
 

Hello!
First time posting here. I am a mechanic in NY. Got the 2007 530i couple days ago from the dealer. The car already has the LCI headlights & tail lights but the problem is, auto-leveling & adaptive lights do not work. They do the start-up test(up & down, side to side) but they dont work after that or while driving.The tail lights work fine but get the errors on Idrive screen. Also the angel eyes don't come on without the parking/headlights. One more thing, i was reading couple of threads and everybody is using AHL LCI headlights but my headlights are HELLA.
I am pretty sure, the previous owner did not use the retrofit cable and hasn't programmed the car. I was installing the alpine subwoofer & amp and i noticed that there was a relay going to the tail lights, and all the connector were cut and the wiring was spliced.
What would be the solution, to get auto-leveling, adaptive lights to work properly?
I had BMW e46 before so have the software(NCS expert, INPA,etc) and cable for programmming/coding.

I am trying to gather all the information before digging up the wiring,etc.

Search on google for lci lights retrofit pdf then compare with your installation

sounds like you need to rewire the headlights and tail lights, get the proper light control module, and do some programming.
