I always turn my headlights on to the automatic position to take advantage of the adapitve xenons. When I went out early this morning and went to turn them on, they would not turn on. They only worked when I turned the switch to the right. They did however work to the left when I put the foglights on as well.

Has anyone had this problem?? It is very strange. Foglights must be on for the headlights to work in the automatic position.

Yes, very strange.

Seems like a computer problem.

Contact your dealer.

Or could it be that there was too much light outside for them to turn on
and by turning on the foglights they kind of forced the headlights on as well.

Probably not so...

It was actually cloudy this morning here. It's going to the dealer Monday for new brake sensors so I'll have them take a look at it.

Actually, if you read the manual, if the lights are off with the switch in Auto (meaning there's too much light outside so the Auto lights won't turn on), pressing the fog light switch will turn on the xenons. So what you're actually experiencing isn't a glitch to begin with.

I didn't know that. Guess I should have read the manual!
