Hello everyone,
I have a question about my 04 e60. I was riding today and saw an 08 e60 and I was admiring the taillights. As I pulled up and passed the 08 I looked at the front end and saw that the uppercorner part which looks like LED of the headlights where on (it was night time). It looked incredible. I always saw seen it on my car but never took the time to look at it with the lights on. Well, when I got home I left my headlights on and went to check it out on my car, I didnt see that part lit up at all, only my xenon headlights and fog lights. My questions to all you veteran e60'ers, is that part of my headlights for show or should mine light up as well? How can I fix this problem? Any input would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

I seem to recall that PROGMAN version 23 caused the missing LED light in the eyebrow and version 25 and later fixed it. It may be a goodwill fix for you, since it is a software bug.

PROGMAN update is a fairly involved process done with equipment available to BMW Centers only. Show the Service Advisor that the LED eyebrows do light up, but not when the headlights are on. That would imply a software bug. I've heard that BMW may have turn off the LED eyebrows to save power when the headlights are on, but LED draw very little power.
