Hey everyone,

I have a issue (I think) where my headlights when looking head on are blue and yellow. Anyone seen this before? Thanks

hi

Thats becours one of the Xenon bulb's are just before burning out ( the yellow one ) , sorry to say , in a short time it will "die" completly , you will have to take out the hole headlamp to switch the xenon bulb ( just to information )

Be awear BMW use 2 differet typs of xenon bulb's , D1S and D2S , so take a look witch type there is on your car before purchasing a new one .

Yes, my xenon bulb colors do not match just like yours. Has your car gone in for service that required headlight assembly exchange? One of my headlight failed to swivel (adaptive part) so the tech installed new one with new xenon bulb. Problem is the color spectrums of the old and new xenons do not match. New one is yellowish-white whereas the old one is bluish-white. My guess is that the bulb shifts in color towards blue as it ages. Upon complaining, they said nothing can be done under warranty to match my bulb colors again. He even showed me bmw service bulletin saying that color difference is normal.

+1

I had mine changed recently and the bulletin states it takes 100 hours to return to the blue like color. I drive everywhere with my lights on looking to accomplish this 100 hour quota. I hope the other doesnt burn out or anything in the interim! haha

Yes, I just changed my driver side and I can definitely see that it is different color. Tech told me that it takes a while to get to normal color but didn't specify how many hours it would take.
