Default Headlight aim adjustment question

Just a quick one guys. I just installed some LCI halogen headlights in my pre-LCI car and was wondering about the headlight beam aim. I'll get them checked just to make sure they are pointing correctly (vertical and horizontal aim).

The question is where exactly should that height control wheel (with the 1 and 2 written on it) be placed BEFORE an alignment check is carried out (and any possible adjustment)....I mean what's it default position (? factory) meant to be for the purposes of a back to standard alignment check ?

Should have read the owner's manual !! It's position '0' for default. Sorted .
