you just have to go to the Dealer to update ur software, no one else can do it.

Ok, but that sounds expensive to light a couple of LEDs, especially at BMW here in the UK! Why can i not wire them up myself by giving them a 12V feed from the headlamp circuit?

+1, this can be fixed with software update. It's an easy fix, since only the LCM module need update. I used to have the same problem.

if ur still under warrantee, the dealer should do them free of charge. The thing is, they are powered up, they just need programming thats all

Car is not under warranty now as it's a late 2003 model.

My mechanic charged me ?60 to fix this, but he updated two more modules at the same time. If you don't want to pay you can fix this yourself. Search the forum and there is a thread where a member explains how do to this. You need to run some wires from LCM if I remember correctly.
