Head light switch
I have a 2010 528i.
When I turn on my headlight switch (low beams) at night, the headlights throw a large beam of light for 1 second and then operate as normal in low beam mode. The large flash of light only lasts for 1 second.
After 1 second the head lights return to normal luminosity for the low beams.
Do you think it is the headlight switch going bad?
Is it the voltage regulator going bad?
Is it normal?

Do you have automatic headlights but are turning them on manually?
Do the lights look like they move up and down then side to side when you switch them on?
I'm just wondering if what looks like a higher brightness to you may be the lights auto leveling ??
