He had to try me

I need advice from you guys:
I'm trying to test out my '07 550i against my friend's MB '05 CLK500 convertible and he seems to be quicker than me from standstill.
What am I doing wrong? I do have 19" wheels. Does it make the car have more drag?
According to the specs, his is 302hp, and 0-60 in 6s
I should be able to beat him easily. Any advice? I did put my gear in sport and turned off DSC.
thanks.

I'd add Dinan to that list, but lately they've been getting out of hand expensive, while not really offering a huge advantage in power - just that it comes with a warranty that matches the OEM.

I'm pretty sure most people on the road have no idea how fast or quick the V8 E60s actually are since they are pretty large, heavy, family sedans. Before owning mine, I thought nothing of them, but now that I own one, I am more than happy with the power. Comparable to my E46 M3, just in a much larger, slightly heavier, 4 door frame .
Sounds like you had fun though OP, always fun surprising people!
