Have you heard of 245/35/19 runflat?

is this for real?I searched the forum and never see post about this size tyre in runflat..
I was offered by the dealer they said this is available but for extremely expensive 700 usd for each tyre the brand is continental i think(dont be surprise everything about car in thailand is expensive)
is it worthed to upgrade to runflat or should i go with non runflat as many on this board recommends..(price for nonrunflat same size is around 500 each)
wont the tyre of runflat 19inch be too stiff?
please advise friends and experts..

I love Mystic Blue color,they dont have it here in thailand for E60,i talked them into painting for me they dont guarantee the quality of the paint so I am going to book monaca blue instead...

I have 245/40 18" old ('03) Dunlop SP Sport 01 RF's.
They are hard and they tramline, but are reasonably quiet.
For my new car there will be 225/50 17" RF's.
I don't know for sure, but I'm expecting them to be a lot nicer to drive with.
Not only because they are the "right size" for a E60 but also the LCI E60 is now
designed for them (RF's) and I expect that the tire tech has also improved since '03.

I test drove the 520d 2 weeks ago LCI but old engine,the ride is very nice, enough power with excellent suspension but when i brake very hard it doesnt stop at my will and jerks forward a few steps more than I normally experience with my current E46 ..just on the hard brakes..the tyre on our LCI was 225/50/17 run flat..I am not sure if this was caused by tyre ,expert on runflat welcome to comment this..

Thanks for your feedback,I am going to book LCI 525i the new 218 hp slightly different version than europe or america but new light weigth engine..
from what I am hearing looks like non runflat is the way to go..

Definitely. But each to their own. I know a number of people prefer the potential safety and convenience advantages of RFs over better handling, noise, price, life-span, ride quality & tramlining.
