That really sucks! Hope you can get the scratches out with the chips. Cerium Oxide can be used to buff out glass scratches...not that i've tried it myself.

i got hated on by a landscaper the other day. i caught him in the act, all he was doign was blowing dust and sand on my car, definitely on purpose. he had just seen me waxing it. sucks to have haters and an adult. i dont have to camp out and look for people anymore.
