My Ride: On Order, due in May - 2007MY 530D SE, Silver Grey, Black Dakota, Auto, Brushed aluminium shadowline, sports seats / wheel, hi fi speakers, mats, space saver wheel and a few more bits
Bad news today. My new E60 has arrived today at the dealer - 5 weeks before I wanted it or when the dealer was supposed to get me it!!!
To get it now, I would have to pay the last month of my Audi lease and the first month of the E60 lease in April - my Audi should go back in may.
Is it worth ?400 to get it now????
Or should I let the dealer polish it for the next 5 weeks

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
Strange dilemna. You should've kept abreast of your new car's production/delivery timetable. Who screwed up? You or your dealer?
I'm not sure what the dealer's protocol would be if you denied/postponed delivery for that long.
If you can afford a new car, you can afford to pay an extra 400 pounds if you want it now.

My Ride: Alpine White/Biege 545i, CWP, Nav, Active Steering, Auto Step ordered 2/1/05
I don't think you have too much leeway on this. The choices are either you accept delivery and keep paying for the Audi or you don't take delivery which will mean that the car will get sold to another buyer and you'll have to reorder. I don't think the dealer will keep the car on the lot for 5 weeks.

Dealer has intimated he will let me have it in a couple of weeks and still keep the first lease payment in May
Need to get some new detailing gear / wax etc - never did anything much on the A4
Maguiars looks to be the most mentioned here
