Just would like everyone to know that BMW replaced my troubled 2005 545 with a new 2007 550. I am very happy now and my trust in BMW has been restored. I would like to thank people from this board for your advice and support.

I'm sorry you suffered so much but IMO getting into the 550 was worth it, this car is way more car than my 545 was, good luck and enjoy the ride.

Glad you are happy. The 550 is really quite a car. I just got back from a 500 mile trip on the North Cascades highway, and the 550 just ate up the road. I can drive all day and am barely tired. So much more comfortable than my M3 was, and the handling is pretty decent, especially since I changed out of the runflats.
