Grinding/scraping noise coming from right rear wheel
I noticed a sort of scraping noise coming from my right rear wheel. It sounds like when new brake pads are installed and are rubbing on the rotors if any of you have heard that before or somewhat like chalk on a board scraping. It begins as the wheel rotates and continues until I stop. I thought it was my brakes needing replacement soon but they look fine to me with a lot of life left on them. I also pushed back the brake shield thinking maybe it was rubbing on something.
Could it be a wheel bearing or something along those lines? Looking for any input before going to the shop.
Thanks in advance!

More than likely your brake sensor is touching the rotor. One on each axle, front drivers side and rear passenger side.

I got a flat tire this past weekend and checked on the pads because I thought they might be worn but they looked to be a mid life. Anyhow I have had cases where the sensors have screeched prematurely so I'll take your advice and check it out this weekend. Thank you for your input e6t.lab.rat

Also possible to have a small stone or piece of asphalt lodged between the backing plate and the rotor. I've had that before on another car.
