I know this is responding to an old post but this was my first time using the GPX and one thing I did find out....the tracking information on their site is unreliable!!!. I called to check every 3-4 days and got totally different information. Today I called to track my bumper and found out that although the site says its in TX the thing has been sitting in my local GPX for 5 days here in GA.

Sorry to say.... you get what you pay for.

Greyhound shipping is just a BAD idea. I think using a freight company would make much more sense for bulky parts.

Greyhound is a great idea if you are shipping 1 or maximum 2 bumpers and within a 1000 mile radius.

Mid last year, it remained a viable and commonly used platform for bumpers. However, most recently, we've almost exclusively standardized on LTL freight companies like Old Dominion, RL Carriers, Seko, and Pilot (to name a few).
Greyhound raised rates sadly and we stopped using them as often to the point where they are roughly 1 out of 30 shipments we do now.

I would say the cheapest is most likely thru Shippi.com. They can give you packing tips. You can call them or quote and book online.

We are always looking for faster, better, and cheaper ways to ship products.
Shippi is not useful at all, it doesn't quote with any of the carriers we know do a good job

Based on 3 individual preliminary estimates on bumpers we're shipping today, the absolute best price using real dimensions, weights, and classes, it's literally 50% more at the lowest possible rate with a carrier we've never heard of.

PS: we use Pilot, RL-Carrier, Vision, SEKO, GSO, and at least 5 others at any time through a broker so it works ok most of the time.

Now, we barely if ever use greyhound.

I'm assuming he works for shippi or owns it, since he's bumping old threads regarding shipping. Shameless marketing.
