Sweet, I starting getting a clunk too. But only when I initially put it in reverse and turning the steering wheel left. I'm going to check it out see if that is the issue.

My steering wheel makes a weird deep whining sound when you shut the car of and the steering wheel raises up for you to exit the car, my question is where or what joint should be greased to fix this?

Not to sure. Take some of the trim off around the steering column and see where the pivot points are. Maybe start there.

i too was chasing a low speed and parked clicking noise while turning the wheel. i first checked the steering joints like mentioned. i ended up finding one of my control arms was the culprit. the bolt that holds the bushing of the control arm is not a tight fit, so the control arm bushing was shifting slightly back and forth on the bolt. a little while earlier a mechanic changed my shocks, and i guess he didnt tighten the control arm bushings enough. i just had to tighten it up the bolt and that was it.

When I look down the steering column it looks like the pivot is way back, Im wondering if the steering column follows some kind of verticle track up near the steering wheel that could cause the sound as it sounds like its right behind the steering wheel??

i have this same steering wheel click. now the odd thing is that if i put the car into reverse and turn the wheel it does not happen. If i am going fast, it does not happen. it only clicks when i am turning to the right. if i hit a bump and i am turning to the right, it does'nt happen.

I have exactly the same issue. Seems like replacing the lower shaft is the only way to go. Where can I get one at good price?
