Before I surrender my car to the shop I would be curious to know if anybody else recognize the following and/or has any tips/info on possible simple cause/solution. (fuse/loose cable etc?)

My car (pro nav) just got stuck in one place on the map rendering the nav useless of course.
Car is sep 04 and idrive is 13.x I think.

I have been driving for many hours since it happened with numerous reboots of iDrive but situation is the same. (It?s not the DVD/map being problematic I guess as I can set destinations, search info and pan map etc.)

Problem not caused by mechanic happening either me thinks as it was OK on parking in the evening (garage) but stuck on map-position at startup the next morning (and since)

It looks like you aren't receiving satellite connection any more.
I suggest you have your GPS antenna checked by the dealer.
It happened to me when with my previous car I had Tom Tom as navigation system and for some reason BT antenna lost connection with PDA.
Hope you get it fixed soon.
