I got rear ended on Friday on my way home, everything has already been taken care of. Their insurance will be taking the responsibility paying for all the repairs and car rental.



I got two estimates already.
1) Fairfield Collision in Fairfield: $3,005.86
2) Casale in Norwalk: $3,097.35

Both will be doing the same thing:
- Replacing Left Tail Light
- Replacing Rear Bumper
- Repairing the Dent on Trunk
- Repairing Quarter Outer Panel Dent

Does anyone know a good body shop in Fairfield County or in Westchester County?

Also is it possible to get M-Tech kit installed and pay the difference? (probably depend on the shop)

Any information would help!

Usually, the insurance and body shops won't have a problem as long as you are willing to pay the difference in the cost. Labor (prepping, prime, paint) will be the same. Let the body shop know before they order the bumper cover.

 

Darien Auto Body is always a good choice. Owner used to manage Miller Motor's body shop in Greenwich if that says anything. Their work has always been top notch from what I've seen.

It's right next to Ring's End lumber on West Ave. While it's not the most attractive place, they do awesome work and stand by it. Hope it all works out!

 

This is the crux of the situation. That 'panel' is the door jam and runs all the way to your rear view mirror. Serious shit here. Ask them how they are going to fix this and make damn sure you understand them. If they repaint this panel they'll blend a door and tape the jam and mess all sorts of shit up, in my experience. Just sayin'.
