So the ride is nearing the end of the CPO and the idle felt a little rough, not really enough to bring in under normal circumstances. However, realizing that the CPO runs out in a month, I decided to take her in for a checkup.
Come to find out that the Vanos Solenoid had to be replaced. :rtfm: I'm not even sure what a vanos solenoid is, much less what it's supposed to do, but I'm glad I brought it in when I did because the repair cost was around $500. Idle running sharp as a tack now.
I'm taking my car to an indy shop later this week and having a full inspection done to determine if I should keep her, or look to something else.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind an LCI 550 but not sure if I want to pony up the coin. Since the car was in the shop over the weekend, they gave me a loaner....a 328 coupe. I have to admit, although small in size and nowhere near as roomy as my E60, it was pretty fun to drive.
