hey yall. so today i had requested an ealry day off from work so me and my buddy could do the coilovers. i get off work and call my buddy and he freakn backed out on me. being pissed and really eager to get them in when i had some free time i decided to pay the piper and have a shop install them. now i know this may sound cheesy but i had meineke do the install. the young guy who did the install was pretty impressive. hes done many coilover installs and really paid close attention to detail throughout the entire install. he started around 10 and finshed up around 3.30. id say he had the wheels on and off close to 10 times getting the ride height where i wanted it. i took pics of the suspension on my phone ill edit this post later and get them on. my tires are 245 25 20 and 285 25 20. with the pics below i still have plenty of room to go down in the rear and about a solid inch in the front more but ill rub all day long.... what i plan on doing is letting the springs settle for a week then taking it back to the shop for one final adjustment. prolly drop the front .25 inchs and raise the rear .25 to level her out. then ill get an alignment. on the ride home from the shop i expreicned no rubbing at all on this current stance but definalty felt like the ass was dipping. i had the adjuster knobs on all 4 set to the 4th slot from soft. the ride was pretty soft and a little bouncy so im going to stiffin it up also. i was amazed how big the oem springs and struts/shocks(sport suspension)were compared to the new ksport kit. the size of the shafts on the oem are huge compared to the ksport which has me a little weary. the adjustments on the rear coilovers requires removing the main lower bolt so you can turn the shock body up or down. the front you need to remove the pinch bolt.thats at least what i made of things. compaing the stock oem ride to the ksports.... i give the stock ride a better crisper feel. the ksport feels a little "cheap" for lack of a better work, but i still need to adjust and tighten up the ride. all in all i was happy the way it rod because it was comfortable and didnt feel like a lowrider riding on the frame. if your from nj give meineke in bridgewater on finderne ave a try. billy the kid installed it and he was pretty damn good. i paid more then id like to pay but in the end its all good because im happy(for now). 1st pic is the height before the job pics...
alos have the stock sport coils if anyone wants to buy them. 200.00 shipped

all coilovers that have linear springs are smaller than OE. you don't have to be weary.

Congrats on the new coils. My KWs are also thinner than the OEM sport suspension so no worries there.

If you know how to tighten/loosen bolts and don't mind putting in some elbow grease, you could install coilovers by yourself in 5-7 hours (the fronts are cake but the rear is another monster).

Also, to adjust the coils in the front and back, you don't have to remove any bolts. Just loosen the appropriate collar and turn it. It's really easy to adjust it yourself if you wanted to do that. Just jack the car up, take off the wheel, and turn the strut and viola!

Your car is super slammed in the rear! Glad to hear you don't rub but if you do, a simple fender roll can fix that. Also, coilovers aren't meant to be soft or OEM comfortable per se, so they're meant to be stiff and taut unless you get something like the KW street comfort setup.
