525i is not a race car is a cruiser perfect for families like myself I can't drive my CLS55 with my son because I have a bad habit of driving too fast in that car and he tells me his stomach hurts when I do . Thats why I be driving the wifes 525i more cause I got no choice but to cruise .

haha i'm getting my 530 equipped with those airplane puking bags - in a CLS55 I'd just put passengers on laughing gas right before putting the car in drive!!!

Yeah, i'm starting to regret getting a 2.5l instead the 3ltr. Little more fuel consuption but can go head to head with the civic type-r ...

Actually, when I was doing my research my 530 got a little better mileage than a comparable 525 even though it had less HP. This is because we have fairly heavy cars and with less power you use more energy to get it moving. That was more the reason I got a 530 instead (my goal at the time was to replace my guzzling SRT Jeep with something comfortable and fuel efficient)

Have either of you seen the movie 'Taxi', 'Taxi 3', or 'The Transporter'? It seems to be a Luc Besson thing were he has some wild driver that causes the passenger to vomit... Reminds me of that! hahaha...

Actually, in the US, the original '04-'05 525i was 2.5 liters, but the '06-'07 525i, the 530i, and now the 528i & 535i are all 3 liter motors.

wow. the 525i is really underpowered.
The 525i is underpowered with comparison of today's standard, but not really underpowered car.
My 1998 Mustang GT had 225 HP with 245 torque and I thought it was a fast car back then.
