Thanks everyone, its an amazing car, very solid, kind of remind me of the e39s.
Anyone knows why there is a key 'shell' inside the glove department?

some cars come with a spare key that will fit in that shell (key adapter) making a makeshift key fob. You will need this to start the car (insert in column when starting)if you lose your memory keys. Mine has the shell but did not come with a spare that would fit it. Dealer said I needed to order one if I wanted it.. I have two memory keys so no big deal to me.

If you have comfort access that should work.
By the way hows the ride differ from e60?? I always wanted 6 series.

the steering wheel bit stiffer, the turns are very sharp, with a V8 power plan, it just brings the car alive... overall it drive smoothly and "strong"... with all the e60 on the road today, you can actually stand out a bit... since i had the car I had only seen 2 e63 (drive Queens NY > Greenwich CT) I?m totally in love with it.

I was told th 5 and 6 are build in the same chassis?

I got my car used CPO from the dealer so Im not sure if the original spare is in the pocket of the original owner or if it didnt come with one originally. The dealer response was I could order one..to me thats not worth it.

For the locks, yes you have comfort access. I think thats standard on 6ers. You should be able to leave your key in your pocket and start the car etc. You can change the settings in your idrive settings. If you don't have the owners manual, go to BMW website and download it. Lots to read on all of the customization you can do with that option. Great ride, Enjoy!
