Hi All,

So I have been looking at ebay, autotrader, cars.com, and carmax so I have been looking for a specific color (silver) and interior color (black) e60 for awhile. I found one that has most of what I want. The dealership is asking $29.8K for a 2008 535i with the following options installed:

1. Premium pkg.
2. Sport pkg.
3. 6-speed auto (would like a manual but if I get this car I would do the SAT mod)
4. Comfort Access
5. Heated seats
6. Bamboo interior
7. Nav
8. HUD, which I really love!
9. Sirius and Ipod and USB

So what are your thoughts on what I have typed and could I go lower in price, if so what number would you have in mind. Also, I would have to pay shipping costs since the car is about 1,300 miles away.

Thank you for reading this post and your time and thoughts,
John

Edit: The car has 43,706 miles.

Doesn't the 535i sport package include the SAT?

Hi Cryptical and Sy1616,

Thank you for both responding quickly. I updated my original post with the number of miles = 43,706. To answer your question Cryptical, I am not sure why the car does not have SAT. I know I have seen this on two 2010 e60s that I have looked at. Also, today, I saw it (SAT) on a 2008 e60 (not the car I am looking at). sy1616 what would be a fair price do you think to ask the dealership for? Also, sy1616 did you page $37K for your e60 or ?

Thanks guys,
John

Hi sy1616,

I have seen that car before on the forum. It is a very nice car and well maintained. It has everything plus a rear shade which is what I have on the e39 that I have. I wish it had the HUD, just like I wish I could find a car, with what I want and a 6MT. I know the seller can take off the Dinan stuff, it would bring the price down to $29,900. Food for thought.

I still find that odd about the SAT, are you sure it's not an XI? Just a 535i?
I don't think the price is all that bad, they'll probably do $27k. I got my 2008 535xi in Feb/2011 with 27k for $31,500k after a little haggling w/o some of those options, was there for $34,999...I say work em a bit!

No - The SAT was an additional option that includes the paddle shifters, and the sport button. I think it also included the rounded gear shift handle

Hi Cryptical,

I am guessing it's not a XI since under the sport package listing it has the active roll stabilization (ARS), which I am sure does not come with the XI. Now the dealership that listed the car may have made a mistake. I am going to call them and find out. Could I hire you to talk to the dealership to get a lower price? I am not kidding. I really suck at getting someone to go lower in price. I usually/most of the time pay what the seller wants.
