Just a quick note to praise a dealer for once...

Took my car in for typical poor performance issues associated with the N54 (*35i) engines, and initially was told the usual "couldn't replicate" and went on my way. Over the three+ years of ownership, I've had two fuel pumps, new turbos, new injectors, and numerous "bad gas"/drain the tank fixes. This one was a little different, as I didn't have any overt CEL or codes thrown, and it was very minor. Low idle, some ticking at idle, more throttle needed when starting off in 1st, (manual), and decreased performance and mpg.

Took the car back in, and determined that it was carbon build up on the intake valve/manifold known in the DI engines, (73k miles).

Just got the car back, and was told my bill and keys were at the cashier. I expected some sort of bill for the work, but all was done under goodwill, without even asking.

Actually the other work, (replacement of leaking washer pump), was covered under goodwill as well.

Nice surprise for a Friday.

Thank you West Herr, (formerly Holtz BMW), in Rochester NY for the outstanding service, and goodwill.

I had forgotten how much fun the car was to drive, as the performance was a slow decline. Wow is all I can say. Car drives like new again!

Time to time, dealer would do this for future returns, i.e trade in new car(knowing your car mileage is up there) or purchases. Could be bring thier reputation back up if they've been having poor feedbacks.
But thats always good news for the wallet.
