I was able to negotiate a 2008 BMW 550i for $31,500 so I'm wondering from everyone on this board if this is a good deal or not.

Color: Plat. Gray/ Black Leather (really wanted space gray but I guess I can't be too picky)
Mileage: 44k Miles
Sports Package with Paddle Shifters
Comfort Access
Cold Weather
Nav w/ Real Time Traffic
Xenon

Still has manufacture warranty and maintenance plan till 4/2012 or 50k miles and has CPO till 4/2014 or 100k miles. The warranty is what sold me but wanted to ask the pros on the board if it's a decent buy.

Thanks

That looks like a great deal. Is that pre-tax price?

sounds fishy to me. why would someone sell for that low. blows my mind. they are obviously giving this car away and it doesn't make any sense. something doesn't add up.

At first I didn't think it was such a great deal since I posts of people selling their cars on here in the same price range. I think it's comparable to nervins car that's posted on this forum. I would have considered his if he was local.

Any advise on what else to look for or have checked?

A part of me feels that my worse case if something comes up that I missed I can just bring it to a dealer since I still have the original warranty still active. Right?

I would ask for the carfax report and also the full maintenance history record from BMW. Is this a one owner vehicle?

Since you'll still have factory warranty for another 6k miles/6 months, I think you'd be ok if you were to purchase it. Further, it is CPO'd. Similar 2008 550i CPOs with the mileage/options above sells for ~$36k+ here in Southern California.

It would be a great buy. If I was in the market now, I'd jump on it before someone else does at that price.
