I want to paint my chrome 535i emblem gloss black, any suggestions about what grit sandpaper to use and what kind of spray paint to use?

Why paint them, get new emblems? Or get overlays for the current emblem...

Use 3000grit sand paper to scuff 'em up, use Dupli Color exterior car paint. Primer, Jet Black Paint, Clearcoat.

Ur better off just buying them off of bimman.com $25 will get you the whole set, because if u plan on painting them, you will have to. Either take them off to paint or tape up the areas. Its gonna be a pain. Go with new emblems nd your down in 30mins

I used a few layers of SEM plastic flex paint and a light sandpaper to scuff it up. The hardest part is getting the double sided tape on.

Make sure you color the sides of the tape black!! I used a sharpie pen to fill in the white on the sides. Otherwise you have black emblem and a white layer of 3m tape in between.

Buy them for $20 off www.bimmian.com. That's what I did. At least that way you have the OEM look to go back to if you need to.
