Going in for an update, but..

I've had my 2005 '05' 535d M Sport for a few weeks and noticed it doesn't play mp3s in the cd / dvd / cd changer, now I have Professional Nav and have the car booked to go in to the dealers to fix this issue (main reason) but I have a few questions I'm hoping you guys can answer for me before I take it in so I know what to ask:
1) Will MP3s play in all drives once updated? I ask as the salesman said to the wife that its not an option in our year which reading on here seems like B$..
2) I'm looking at getting a Dension 500 in the next couple of months, as I think its more flexible with USB and Ipod support compared to what I've read about the oem Ipod retrofit. Does this need anything else done coding wise or will enabling the mp3 allow it to work?
3) I have electric folding mirrors and the button on the drivers door panel. Can this be linked to the key so it autofolds with the door lock unlock, I've seen it on the my mates e90 and think its a cool option and I keep forgetting to press it when i get out!! (The Salesman said this could not be done, but he also said that about the mp3 option so I would like someone to confirm)
4) My car does not dip the passenger mirror if the switch is put to the drivers side and Reverse is engaged.. is this an option or should it do this?
5) I've noticed since booking the car in (due in this Friday) that the car will not really move unless its revved above 1000rpm, it does slowly creep forward on a flat road if in D but have to rev over 1000rpm before it moves, will this be automatically updated with the idrive update or do I need to mention this?
6) Is there a list of options that can be enabled any where that I can ask the dealer to look at enabling?
Don't you just lover Stealers...when we bought the car I asked if the car had the latest update and was told it would be checked and updated if it wasn't... but tried to fob off the wife when she asked about the issues above.. Amazing how when I complained I'm told to book it in

Your sealer does'nt seem to know much as once you have the mp3 update done it will play mp3's in both the cd and dvd indash unit but not the cd changer,as for the folding mirror's this can be done also via the keyfob,after being programmed in all you have to do is hold the locking button on your keyfob pressed for around 3-4 second's when locking your car and the mirror's will fold in,the autodip function will only work as far as I know if you have the memory seat's but I may be wrong on this.A full software upgrade my inprove throttle response as mine did and I have a 530d,I had both a full pro nav retrofit and mp3 upgrade as well as folding mirror's retrofitted and programmed to lock/unlock via the keyfob,i'm very lucky to have an idependent BMW specialist here in West yorkshire as my local dealer's don't seem to know anything much like your's!

Only having owned it a few weeks Im trying to just get used to it as its our first BMW / Diesel / Auto... but Im hoping the issues will be covered under the warranty and the update helps fix them..
I'll hopefully get them to also code the mirrors to fold on key press
Do you or anyone know if enabling the mp3 will be a full software update or is it just an option?

I have the BMW iPod interface and DVD/CCC Nav. MP3 CD-R's play in the audio slot and the Nav DVD slot. Obviously, no Nav functions at that point. Not sure about the changer as I don't have one.
If you forget to unfold side mirrors, they should unfold automatically when a fast enough speed is reached.

Yea it does unfold as soon as you reach a fast enough speed..how cool is that
its more the parking up and locking / mirror fold that I'm concerned about, as some times I'm forced to park on side roads that become narrow once cars on both sides park...if this is an option that can be enabled on the key then great! At the moment holding down the open / close buttons open /close all the windows / sunroof
can anyone confirm if there is a list of optional features that the dealer can code whilst they have it, so I can get it sorted in one visit?

apparently you can only have auto folding mirrors if you have the seats with drivers memory or that's what's two different service centres have told me.
if you have drivers memory they can program it into one of the memory settings.
you live in romford? im not far from you in grays

Ah...I dont have memory seats, just electric lumber / height adjustment...Sanj / Vkhong do you guys have memory seats?
well I'll ask tomorrow anyway in the hope that they can enable it...Grays! Not to far from Lake Side / Bluewater
I'll keep an eye out for the decals in the windows of any e60 I see there!

im not hard to spot, i have lead weights in my right foot i think you if have either memory seats or comfort seats you get the reverse dipping side mirror as an added extra
oh and if you think about it ask for the mesuers plan and the list showing which modules received an update.
