Going to look at my first BMW tomorrow

I'm traveling from Central PA to New York tomorrow or the following day (as soon as my title from my car I just paid off arrives) to look at a 525iA. First off, what is the significance of the 'A' as I cannot find anything. The car is a 2004 w/ 45,000 miles on it. What things should I look out for and what information should I know going into this deal?

What part of Pennsylvania are you in? I know there are some really rural areas, but to never have seen a BMW! Thats really something.

I think the A stands for Automatic, but I may be called an idiot very briefly by a senior member.

the A wont appear along with the numbers though on the badges like the "xi" does for the all wheel drive models. enjoy your trip, and welcome and enjoy the forums.
