glovebox handle maintenance

This is really important and really easy...check and tighten the screws on the inside of the glovebox door that secure the handle/latching mechanism.
Those two little screws can loosen up by themselves and disable the handle/unlatching mechanism even when it's unlocked. You will not be able to open your glovebox. This happened to mine and it wasn't even obvious that the handle was loose. Think about what's in the glovebox that you might need to use: fuse panel, registration, owners manual, maybe wallet or glasses? Oh yes, and the screws that need to be tightened...

Thanks for the heads-up. I have to lube my power rear window shade. Sometimes the one side sticks in the track when lowering it. I also have a slightly sticky right side cup holder. I'll check my glovebox when I check this stuff.
