I need new brake pads, is it true that with and E60 you should also get brand new rotors? I've had one person tell me i could just have them turned? is this true? Thanks guys!!

ps: My car has almost 58k on it!

If you saw my recent "warped rotor" thread, you'll see that BMW doesn't cut their rotors. I misread this question the first time around. Now that I understand, yes, I'd get new rotors if you have gotten significant mileage from the old ones, if you replace the pads.

In a word, "yes"!

If you've gotten that many miles out of a set of OEM / Factory pads, the rotors will have sacrificed a significant amount of metal as well. Treat your new pads to a bright, shiny, meaty rotor to clamp down on!
