Getting more "sport" from a Steptronic

Unfortunately for me, I did not know a Sport Automatic Transmission was offered for my 550i, and I ended up with the Steptronic Transmission. Appearantly the Sport Automatic Transmission features the following when in sport mode:
> The speed range of the engine is optimally utilized.
> Gearshifts are faster.
> The engine responds more spontaneously to accelerator pedal movements.
> The steering will operate in an even sportier mode.
> In the automatic mode, the 6th gear is not engaged.
These all seem like software/computer-managed features.
Curious, is there a software/computer upgrade for gettting more "sport" from a Steptronic? What about other upgrades aside from installing a Manual Transmission or retro-fitting the Sport Automatic Transmission?

Just goes to show that you should always get a stick shift...
I don't know of any effective way to enhance the performance of your steptronic. Which is not to say that there aren't any - I just don't know of them. However, there are way to improve on other things, like the steering feel (sway bars, coilovers, etc. etc.), throttle response (that's what a sprintbooster does), more aggressive engine "breathing" (ram air scoop, BMC filter, CAI, exhaust... )
I'd leave the tranny alone though - at least before exhausting just about all other options.
